San Francisco, the "city by the bay" is synonomous with outlandish behavior. With its 43 hills and its population of free thinkers, it remains a city of spectacular ocean views, stunnng architecture, flocks of wild birds, historic landmarks, and strangely attired individals. With its Victorian homes, summer fog, and great cultural diversity, San Francisco is one of the most visited destinations in the world. A ferry ride to Alcatraz Island reveals a world of history unto itself. The city has also been a backdrop for many famous films. Like any cable car, this city gives a hell of a ride!
